Forms of attention.

Trevor Millum distinguished between many different forms of attention that could be gained by the audience.

  • Attention directed towards someone, as a point of interest to the plot of a sexual one.
  • Attention directed towards an object.
  • Attention directed to ones self.
  • Attention directed towards the reader.
  • Attention directed into middle distance.

I will be directing the attention towards my main character through out my text because he is the focal point of my text, even when the camera is not directly on him it will be influenced by his presence. This will create an enviroment where the audience can identify with him, either by relating to him or by judging him.
